The International Camping Fellowship (ICF), established in 1987, is the authoritative global organization driving the development of camp education. Much like the International Olympic Committee in the sports world, ICF’s mission is to facilitate communication across the global camp education community, promote consensus on camp philosophies, set industry standards, and foster international cooperation. Through outdoor education, ICF supports the growth and development of children and youth while contributing to the creation of a better society.
Over the past nearly 40 years, ICF has connected more than 100,000 camp and outdoor education professionals worldwide, building a network spanning over 100 countries and regions. Through flagship programs such as the International Camping Congress (ICC), the International Camp Directors Course (ICDC), the Camp Academy, and the Youth Achievement Award (YAA), ICF continues to exert a significant and positive influence on the development of camps globally.
