This landmark event will bring together a global community of camp professionals, educators, researchers, government representatives, students, and families who share a common belief: that out-of-school learning has the power to change lives and shape a better future for our children and our world.

As we gather in China—a land rich in history, innovation, and cultural diversity—we will celebrate our shared passion for experiential education and youth development. Together, we will explore new ideas, share proven practices, and learn from one another’s unique traditions and approaches. Whether you come from a long-standing camping tradition or are just beginning your journey in this field, you are welcome.

Participants will also have the chance to meet and engage with top leaders and speakers from the global camping movement, hear inspiring case studies from across continents, and perhaps even establish new partnerships between countries, organizations, and businesses that will carry forward the spirit of the congress long after it ends.

More than a conference, this congress is an invitation to build lasting relationships, to grow stronger through connection, and to contribute to a global network of good people working with purpose, creativity, and heart. Through dialogue, workshops, cultural exchange, and site visits, we aim to inspire action and amplify our impact—locally and globally.

With great joy and heartfelt enthusiasm, I warmly invite you to the 13th International Camping Congress (ICC2026), which will take place from November 6 to November 10, 2026. This world-class gathering will bring together over 2,000 leaders, experts, government representatives, and scholars from around the globe, all sharing the latest knowledge and experiences in camp education and related fields.

For the very first time, the International Camping Congress comes to Mainland China—a moment that not only highlights the strength of “China’s voice”, but also demonstrates how China’s contributions to camp education and the broader camp-related fields are being recognized worldwide. The Congress will explore six key dimensions—”Camp & Technology”, ”Camp & Education”, “Camp & Culture”, “Camp & Diversity and Inclusion”, “Camp & Industrial Economy” and “China Camp & Global Insights”. Through forums, workshops, curated exhibitions, and cultural activities, we will create a vibrant platform for exchange, learning, and cooperation. We believe this milestone event will inject fresh vitality into camp education in China and beyond.

Our venue, Thaiwoo Ski Resort in Chongli, Zhangjiakou, is both a former host site of the 24th Winter Olympic Games and a scenic, year-round youth camp destination. With mountain adventures in summer and world-class skiing in winter, Thaiwoo is the ideal setting for the Congress—and a starting point for deeper integration between the global camp community and China’s camp development.

Children are the future of our world and the flame that carries forward human civilization. As professionals in camp education, it is our shared responsibility to help them develop global perspectives, essential skills, courage to explore, open minds, and hearts full of love and dreams. Through this Congress, we will bring the world’s campfire to Chinese children and their families, allowing advanced camp concepts, innovative educational practices, and stronger human connections to take root and flourish on this land. Together, let us build in children’s worlds a true “global village” and nurture genuine “world citizens”.
