ICC2026 China ICF Research Forum Overview
Research Forum Monday, November 9, 2026
We are delighted to invite you to submit your research for consideration for a presentation at the ICC2026 ICF Research Forum which will be embedded into the overall Congress of the International Camping Fellowship!
The focus of the ICF Research Forum is to communicate the practical applications of systematic research based on quality data to professionals in the fields of camp/outdoor education/adventure therapy. A peer-review process will examine the research design and methodology, and the presentations should be free of academic jargon so that it may be easily shared with the overall camp industry.
The forum (Monday, November 9th) will include a kick-off introduction to the research forum, followed by several plenary sessions that will include 2-3 speakers (grouped per topically related sessions who will deliver 12-15 minutes presentations followed by Q&A with the audience. The forum will conclude with a round-table discussion to discuss potential research collaborations and future directions for research within the global camp community.

To prepare for submission of a word document in English, please have ready a 300 word abstract and two-page summary of the research with the following sections: Research Title, Keywords, All Authors (with affiliations and emails), Introduction, Methodology, Results, Practical Applications for Camp Professionals. We also ask you to provide a catchy question that will be answered by your presentation that we can use for social media along with a photo.
Presentation Format
These sessions are held in English.
Oral presentations will be 12-15 minutes, followed by 5 minutes for questions and answers with the audience.

Review of submissions begins on May 1, 2026 with quick turnaround of peer review.
Those selected will be able to receive the benefit of the May 10th early bird registration rate if registered by July 1st.
Presentation is limited to recent original research that is relevant to camp professionals and related industry.
Individuals may submit only one presentation as the first author. However, it is possible for individuals to submit more than one as a team member for another first author.
Presenters are expected to register as full delegates for the 13th International Camping Congress and pay a registration fee (If there are extenuating circumstances and/or you are local to the venue, please request a daily registration during the application process.)
